Is there a way to do x without doing y?

Tony Robbins teaches that the quality of your questions determines the quality of your life. One such question I love to ask myself (and the Internet) is:

Is there a way to do x [benefit] without doing y [cost]?

Examples of recent questions I’ve asked:

  • Is there a way to hand-wash dishes [benefit] without having to spend a lot of time and labor [cost]?
  • Is there a way to eat really good food in an expensive city without having to pay a lot for it?
  • Is there a way to increase your WiFi speed without having to pay more for it?
  • Is there a way to organize your room without having to spend too much time on it?

It is very easy for people to believe that there is only oneĀ way of doing things. The great benefit of the Internet is that many people have tried many different ways, have asked the same question. They’ve toiled over the same problems you have and have found cool, surprising, low-cost solutions to them.

Don’t let all those innovative answers go to waste.
